Pack a picnic, bring the bat and ball and don’t forget your camera! Your body will thank you for the fresh outdoor air, and the wide-open spaces to explore. And of course, what’s not to love about lounging around on a picnic blanket and tucking in to a colourful spread of snacks?

Not only is a good hike a great way to explore the spectacular outdoors, it’s also a blood-pumping workout too. And South Africa is teeming with challenging and scenic routes – so just take your pick. The best part? Beyond burning a few calories en route, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views at the end of every climb.

Whether it’s just for one night, or whether you set up camp in your back garden, it’s all about an exciting change of scenery.
